Valencia is one of Spain’s larger autonomous regions in Spain, both geographically and by population. Lapped by the Mediterranean Sea, the region stretches across 600 kilometres of coastline, on the eastern side of the Iberian Peninsula.

Firstly, if you love history and culture, then a property in Valencia city will put you on the doorstep to so much culture and history. There’s Valencia Cathedral, a grand Gothic building that dates all the way back to the 13th century. For a step into modernity, the City of Arts and Sciences Complex, is a two-kilometre stretch made up of fascinating avant-garde buildings. For your shopping needs, Calle Colón is a top a choice with its high-fashion brands. When it comes to food, your bags will quickly become full of tasty cheeses and ham, at the Central Market of Valencia, one of the biggest markets in all of Europe. Plus, Valencia is the birthplace of paella! It's a city that knows how to party too, with the ‘fallas’ carnival stretching for days in early March.
Outside of the city, Valencia community is populated by amazing sea resorts and towns, each with their own unique personalities.
To the south is the Costa Blanca, including Denia, Javea, Benidorm, Alicante and so many more.
Closer to the city, 65 kilometres south of Valencia, the city of Gandia attracts tourists in their droves because of is offering of six kilometres of Blue Flag beaches, nightclubs and bars. There’s also Oliva, a golfer’s paradise. For somewhere quieter, Barx is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
In the north of the region is the Costa Dorada, more popular with home-grown tourists in resort towns like Peñíscola and Castellón de la Plana.
Valencia is served by Valencia airport, which has flights to multiple UK airports all year round. Dependent on where you choose to purchase a property, Alicante might be nearer, it has a similar frequency of flights. So, any property for sale in Valencia will be easy to get to.
In Valencia, the summers are long and warm; the winters are brief and not too biting. From April to October, Valencia’s temperature is in the low to mid-twenties. The warmest month is August, which has an average daily maximum of 31°C. The coldest month is January with an average daily maximum is 16°C.
In rural Valencia, it is perfectly possible to find a multi-bedroom house for €50,000. However, this property will likely need to be significantly renovated.
