Javea is a small historic town that sits on the north-eastern tip of the Costa Blanca. It is about twenty minutes from the more well-known port city of Denia. The island of Ibiza lies 90 kilometres to the east, and on a clear day, you can even see it. A property for sale in Javea would be suited to someone looking for a quiet spot along the Costa Blanca to enjoy. In the 1960s, when many towns along the Costa Blanca, such as Benidorm and Calpe, were built up to reach the sky, Javea evaded this fate by putting restrictions on how tall a building could be. Weather wise, you’re in for a classic Costa Blanca treat in Javea. The hottest month is August with an average daily maximum 31°C. You can expect temperatures in the mid to high twenties from May to October. January is the coldest month, but still has the potential to reach 17°C. In the winter, you can expect six hours of sunshine a day; in the height of summer, this number doubles. 

The quickest way to get from Javea to Alicante airport is by car, at one hour. However, you can also get a bus there – this can be quite lengthy, but also a chance to see a bit more of the Costa Blanca. For example, you could stop off at Benidorm, enjoy some karaoke, then hop on the bus, and appreciate the chill vibe of Javea all the more. Throughout the year, Alicante has low-cost flights to the UK. 

In Javea, you can find a small multi-room apartment for €120,000. At this price, you can expect to be walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and the beach. In other areas of the Costa Blanca, it is possible to find run down, old-fashioned homes for less than €100,000 –there are less of these properties in Javea. If you are hoping to accommodate a family in a home of four bedrooms or more, then you will need a budget of at least €3000,000. Javea has a strong market for high-end, fashionable family villas, and if you can afford them, they make truly incredible homes boasting of impressive views, private swimming pools, gardens, and even jacuzzies.
