Firstly, let’s talk about the city. Málaga is the birthplace of Picasso and has a museum dedicated to the world’s greatest 20th century artist. A major advantage to buying property in Málaga is its excellent transport links. Depending on their attitude to CO2, your friends or family can easily fly down here and back for a long lunch. And not just to the UK. Málaga is well-connected to other cities in Spain and Europe, with its international airport serving over 19 million passengers annually.
The city has a modern metro system too, so you can depart the airport and be whisked off to Fuengirola in minutes – avoiding the hassle of queueing for car hire. And that’s not to be sniffed at, if your property in Málaga lacks parking.
