Being amphitheatrically built and very picturesque makes it one of the most beautiful towns in Greece. It has a lovely central square, shaded by ancient plane trees, where you can find a good range of shops and nice cafeterias.

There are also supermarkets, traditional restaurants, pharmacies, a satisfying range of doctors, and a small medical centre with good facilities and reliable staff who provide prompt emergency service for mild cases. The area of Pylos has four impressive signature golf courses, and the nearest one is 20 minutes away from the property.

Koroni, 33 minutes by car, where you can find a wide variety of restaurants and bars which front the attractive harbour side overlooked by the ruins of the original Venetian castle. There are two banks, a post office, a hairdresser, a dentist, doctors, and a wide range of shops for everyday needs. There is also a vegetable and bric-a-brac market on Sunday mornings.

It takes 55 minutes to drive to the international airport and 60 minutes to the modern hospital of Kalamata, which is the administrative capital of the area. Kalamata has a port, a large yachting marina, and motorway access to Athens. The centre of town has been the subject of major regeneration during the past few years.

It offers a wide range of shopping, eating, and relaxing opportunities along its main boulevard. A greater variety of shops here offer designer goods and some internationally known stores.
