While renowned for its glam and glitzy film festival Cannes is more often than not, a calm and beautiful resort town on the French Riviera.

Just north of the city, you’ll find Le Cannet. It’s just ten minutes from the seafront (about 2km) and overlooks the Cannes Bay. Le Cannet is sheltered from the northern wind thanks to the mountains that surround it, earning the area the moniker “the Madeira of France”. Prices for homes in Le Cannet, Cannes start at €250,000.

Property for sale in Cannes is premium, particularly in the La Banane where apartments are super popular, and prices are high. La Californie is another prestigious residential area in Cannes. It’s often compared to Beverly Hills as it offers homes on large hillside plots, with lots of greenery and sea views. 

Property prices in Cannes are typically more expensive than in Northern France due to its prized location on the Rivieria. According to RealAdvisor, the median property price is €2,200,000 but that doesn’t mean there aren’t affordable properties to be found. The median price for apartments in Cannes is €499,000, but prices start at €300,000.
