Positioned on Cyprus’s glittering southern coast, Pissouri is the third-largest village in the Limassol district. It is super well-locatedjust 30-minutes from the city of Limassol and Paphos. While having easy access to these cities, Pissouri offers a slightly quieter and more traditional atmosphere, which might be more suited to your tastes. Plus, it is just a 20-minute drive to Paphos International Airport.

Pissouri is divided into two distinct parts. Pissouri Village is located on the Cape Aspro ridge, about 500 metres above sea level, with the most wonderful views. It has a welcoming atmosphere, with the main square hosting traditional Cypriot nights and festivals. In the daytime, it’s a lovely place to sit for a bite to eat, admire the fountain and people watch. At the southern point of the village, you’ll find Pissouri Bay. Annually awarded a Blue Flag, Pissouri Bay is surrounded by cliff faces, making it ideal for sunbathing (but there’s plenty of opportunity to pop on your water skis or go wind surfing too). The beach is praised for its azure waters, fine sand, and multi-coloured pebbles. Additionally, there are many places to eat, shops and five-star hotels. Excitingly, if you want to embrace the great outdoors, there are eight trails perfect for hikers and cyclists. As well as tourism, agriculture plays a huge part in the local economy. Here, you can taste the most delicious sultanas, grown in the valley, and there’s plenty of halloumi to feast on too.

With a home in Pissouri, you can enjoy a large dose of the Cypriot sunshine for over 300 days of the year. January is the coldest with highs of 16°C and nine days of rain. But from April to November, you can expect temperatures in the 20s. August is the hottest with an average daily maximum of 30 degrees.
