Sierra Nevada

We’ve handpicked ten excellent properties that benefit from mountain views. Discover them in your favourite locations such as Alicante, Murcia and Málaga.

What do you think of when you imagine your perfect Spanish property? Often, when we conjure an image of Spain, we think of beautiful beaches, resort towns and golf courses. But Spain also boasts of incredible countryside, and it is home to major mountain ranges too.

Where to look for a property with mountain views

The Pyrenees

Forming the natural border between Spain and France, the Pyrenees stretch from Catalonia on the Mediterranean coast to the Basque Country on the Atlantic coast.

Sierra Nevada

The astonishing Sierra Nevada.

The Sierra Nevada is a truly special mountain range, located in Andalusia, it is the most southernmost ski resort in all of Europe. Plus, it benefits from being close to fantastic cities such as Seville and Granada. So, it has a real dual season appeal, ski in the winter, swim in the summer – and at some points of the year, you could even do both!

Mount Teide

In Tenerife, you’ll find the tallest peak in all of Spain, the Mount Tiede, which stands at an impressive 3,715 metres.

Sierra Alhamilla

Located between the Desert of Tabernas to the north and the coast of Almería, Sierra Alhamilla is an excellent place for hikes, birdwatching, and cycling.

Sierra de Aitana

Despite being so close to the popular Costa Blanca, the Sierra de Aitana has a less discovered feel. With over 300 days of sunshine a year in this region, it makes a wonderful place for a hike, especially on days when the weather has too much of a chill to lie about on the beach.

Sierra Espuña

Nicknamed the “green lung” of Murcia, Sierra Espuña provides a balance to Murcia’s golf courses and resort towns. It is home to the most extensive forest in the region.
